What types of tests does the PFT lab offer?
Spirometry: measures amount and/or speed of air that can be inhaled/exhaled
Nitrogen Washing Functional Residual Capacity: measures volume of air left in the lungs after a normal, passive exhalation
Lung Diffusion Capacity Testing: evaluate how well oxygen moves into and out of lungs
Maximum inspiratory pressure/maximum expiratory pressure
6-minute walk test to evaluate oxygen needs at rest and during exercise
